Christ Covenant Church Africa, has been serving its community, specifically the environs of Kariokor, ziwani and Majengo slums area since 1998.
Christ Covenant Church Africa values people, we believe the worth of people is innate and God given. People are important and are precious, that is why we have God’s life flowing in each one of us. We believe in the dignity of the human being and the essential value of helping people to view themselves as GODS image bearers, irrespective of gender, age, race or tribe. As the church of Jesus Christ we exist to be a city on a hill in our community. We embrace and empower the vulnerable in our community, by showing them GODs love and compassion.
Covenant Treasures School exists to offer quality education to needy children from slum communities. We refer to the students as “treasures” to assert that despite poverty all around, each deserves love and quality education. In the last 20 years, we have successfully intervened in facilitating more than 1000 students from the slums to get a second chance in life through education.
Our Interventions include:
Rehema is Swahili for “compassion.”
Rehema Ministries was formed based on a need to support the marginalized and vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS. We empower them through equipping them with skills for socioeconomic empowerment, Food basket for those that are food insecure and psychosocial support through support groups and one on one counselling.
We partner with other stake holders i.e. comprehensive care centres, faith-based organizations and other non-governmental organizations. We have so far been able to empower more than 720 men and women through the Rehema program.
